Have fun, you morphological wordophiles.
Why do this? Because the imperative mood in New Testament epistles is what I refer to as "the can do mood," or, "the mood of faith," meaning that what we are being commanded to do, we can do. For instance, Eph. 5:1 "Be imitators of God as dear children." We can imitate God. And when Christians hear that they can do this, their faith grows and they can then practice what the word commands. And then as we examine the context of Ephesians 5:1 we discover "how" we can imitate God.
May God bless every servant of His who rightly divides the word of truth and proclaims. Preach the Word! Preach for faith!
